EMA Members
There are three types of membership for EMA
- Full members of EMA are midwifery organisations within the member states of the EU, the EEA and EU candidate countries, legally established in accordance with the laws and customs of their country of origin, which are admitted as such by the executive board can be granted to each midwifery organisation within each EU member state.
- Associated members of EMA are midwifery organisations within those countries of the Europe that are not eligible for full membership, legally established in accordance with the laws and customs of their country of origin which are admitted as such by the executive board.
- Supporting partners of EMA are individuals or representatives of organisations who are annually admitted as such by the executive board.
Some other countries are also in contact with EMA.
Most of the EU member states are represented in EMA.
The following list identifies all the potential member states, together with the midwifery organisations that are in membership and the representatives of these organisation. As for the page that identifies each of the countries associated with the European Union, the information of each country has been linked to the CIA website as it provides a systematic information on all countries in the world.
